President
Jeremy Heng
Many of my friends say I speak too much for my own good, but I would like to see it as being friendly. They also say my jokes are stupid, but I would like to think my humour as having an acquired taste. I like to see things in different perspective, hopefully as the president of this year’s committee I could allow my members to see things in different angles and work towards a successful year ahead. |

Vice-President

Hi it’s me again! Previous year I had the privilege of being the Sports Director of SSA, this gave me some valuable insights into what Singaporeans in Sydney want and I hope this year, as Secretary to the SSA, I hope I can further improve and make your stay in Sydney a much more enjoyable and unforgettable experience for everyone.
Food is what everyone associates me with, but I associate with food because it reminds me of home. Besides food, soccer and basketball are my next love. So if u fancy a game of soccer or basketball, or just wanna chill at a pub and watch a game, you know where to find me! |

One of the perks of studying overseas is the joy you have in food experimentations with friends. Cook outs are fun when you have a big group, hence, the more the merrier! For me, it is a personal satisfaction perfecting the timing of my soft-boiled egg. Having said that, I have to admit I'm not much of a cook!
More about myself!
I'm pursuing a double degree in Commerce and Economics. Heavily involved in my first love, Badminton, I'm also currently in the midst of trying out new sports such as golf, cycling and cable skiing. Apart from my indulgence in recreations, adventures and travelling, I'm very much a Foodie. Love café and restaurant scouting in Sydney! So join me today in tasting the different cuisines! |

ARC Representative
Gabriel Chan
Yup it's me again. I realized last year's write up was tragic, nothing will change for this year’s either. Yes I’m still studying Electrical Engineering and yes, I’m still suffering. But I’m amazed one year has passed so quickly, so many eventful moments have happened like having epic 4v4 starcraft battles at home to having so much fun at paintball and makan night, meeting new people and having a blast every single time. All these helped to take away the pain of monotony of everyday studying life.
For those who are new here or even those who have been here for a while, don’t hesitate to contact me or the rest of the committee if any help is needed. |

Social Director
Jamie Sim
Hi all, curious about what I do? Let me make this short and sweet. I’m currently in my final year of Commerce degree majoring in Finance and Accounting. Loves Finance but never seems to do better than my Accounting. Just like I love to party but never seems to enjoy more than planning them!
As the female social for the year, I would like to share my experiences and passion with all of you and give my very best to our SSA upcoming events. Be around to witness the best upcoming Singaporean Student association in NSW!

Sports Director
Reuben Chia
Hi my name is Reuben and I am the Sports Director.
I would like to say I am a very sporty person. But then again lazing around is also
another forte of mine. So if you do want to meet up to chill and drink I'm the one
to look for.
Other than that, I look forward to meeting you guys at whichever sporting event that the SSA organizes. |

Sports Director
Yan Ni Loh
Sport is a universal language. At its best it can bring people together, no matter what their origin, background, religious beliefs. I hope that through the sporting activities we organize, Singaporeans studying at UNSW will not only bond amongst Singaporeans, but also with people from other countries, particularly during the friendly matches held from time to time.

Member Relations Officer
Ian Ang
Hi there, I’m Ian, currently in third year of Chemical Engineering. With due honour, I serve as the new Member Relations Officer (MRO) in the SSA. I believe an overseas education should be a balance of work and play; nevertheless, it has to be both enriching and memorable. I do look forward to fulfilling the roles of an MRO, my aim is to foster stronger ties amongst Singaporeans.
This however can only be accomplished with the support of each individual, committed and willing to adapt to distinct differences between cultures. While doing so, we can both work together to build a better understanding amongst all Singaporeans and I’m looking forward to meeting all of you.
On behalf of the SSA, I warmly welcome all Singaporeans undertaking studies in UNSW to take a step forward and become part of this holistic organisation. |

Member Relations Officer
Celeste Chen
Hi I’m Celeste and it’s my first year in UNSW after surviving the IB programme in ACS (Independent). I’m studying Psychology but no, it does not mean I can read your minds.
In my free time, I like to read and just hang out with my friends. I keep telling myself that I should learn how to cook but I still haven’t gotten round to doing it. This year as one of the MROs, I hope that I will be able to act as a bridge between the members and the committee and provide a soap box for all your suggestions (and complaints).

Member Relations Officer
Daryl Koh
Hi, Daryl here. I am a first year student in UNSW ASB. I love to go out there and meet heaps of people from many cultures. Interacting with the different cultures enables me to appreciate the many minor things that we as Singaporeans take to granted. I believe that studying overseas enable one to have a different view on life, and it definitely allows a more wholesome university experience, balancing studies, play and an active social life.
I hope that with all the wonderful members in SSA, we will be able to serve and reach out to the many Singaporeans in UNSW through more fun-filled events=)

Life is a canvas; the art of drawing without an eraser. Paint it your way!
Hii! Coming to UNSW to study architecture has been one of my greatest decisions (so far). I’m currently in third year and struggling to squeeze sensual creativity and contextual philosophy for my projects. It is tough, but I am sadistic about it. Good friends make this experience even more enjoyable. I always believe that life is good when you can laugh about it, and nothing is too hard to swallow. It is such a big world out there, and one life is all you have got. Live for the moment!

Jason Khiang
Work hard, play hard, live free, die young. My motto, and I live by it.
Currently a 3rd year Industrial Design student.
As an Industrial designer, we always try to create the perfect product to improve people's lifestyle, thus, even thou nothing is perfect, this practice makes us perfectionists. Most of the time I am engrossed with my school work, but I will try my very best to squeeze time to contribute to Singapore by helping students coming over to UNSW to study.
In a long journey, the first step is always the hardest to make. What is life without challenges, with nothing to prove, our existence become meaningless. Challenge all possibilities. Make life meaningful.

Editor
Ernest Tan
Ernest Tan is a first year journalism major with the School of English, Media and Performing Arts. He is your typical word-buff with a twist of lemon and takes particular pleasure in the restoration of abused and neglected prose. His loves, in no particular order, include books, booze, electronics (xbox360 be mine), singing in the shower, Japanese food, a girl named Sophie (sorry ladies) and two beautiful baby cats who wait impatiently for him in Singapore. He is honoured to be serving on the committee of the SSA: UNSW and hopes that his term as editor will bring about world peace. Thank you.

Acting Webmaster
Elvin Loo
Hi! i'm back again, this time round as a part time/acting Webmaster. You see, there must be something good about being the Webmaster that's so much fun that i would wanna do over and over again. Just kidding, i have a life too, anyway, this old face is here to stay until the next brave one is ready to take over this position and that, i highly encourage so and therefore, please feel free to contact me anytime if you think you are,... the 'One'. i'll be more than happy to share my knowledge and stuffs, but that's if you should take the "Red Pill".
Alright, fun time's over, here's the serious stuffs. I'm a Computer Science Graduate(even though i may not look it) and am looking to party and play as hard as i can before the job finds me. Okay, I should really get a job, which is, besides the point anyway. I'm often seen like i'm nonchalant and all play, however, there is really a geeky side of me and that's me being a gamer, lol, nevermind. I also have different sides of me, me being the Rocker, the KTV Singer, Connoisseur of food, the Kung Fu artist, the Footballer, etc.. perhaps most notable of all, the Wannabe. But don't take my word for it, you might see an unfamiliar side of me if you decide to come forward and say hello, and then perhaps you can evaluate me yourself over coffee, beer, or a piece of steak. Cheers Mate!! |

Hi hi! Levina here! I’m a third year student studying Commerce/Arts. My interests lie in international relations and politics. Honestly, I’m not especially good in writing about myself, but I’m a pretty nice person and love to make friends. So hopefully, I’ll see you around! |
